1/9/18 10:02 pm - This Journal is now SEMI-FRIENDS ONLY

Yep, this journal is now semi friends only...meaning most of my posts will be friends only (the good ones at least).  I'll still be posting some public entrees but I doubt they'd be as interesting. COMMENT TO BE ADDED!

11/28/16 10:41 pm - I'm terrible at challenges, but I managed to finish one!

This is a 30 Day Music Challenge I managed to finish in October.  Be prepared for a lot of a lot of random (and foreign) music.  A lot of obvious choices may not be here because someone else got to them first.  Anyways, Enjoy! Hope you discover something new.

So I'm just going to post this here as I will be attempting to do this.  Let's see if it actually works.

Every day for 21 Days...

  • Jot down 3 new things you are grateful for, no matter how small.

  • Send a positive email to someone in your support network.

  • Meditate for 2 minutes.

  • Exercise for 10 minutes.

  • Take 2 minutes to keep a journal of your most positive experience from the past 24 hours

1/9/11 10:31 pm - Update on Life

Yeah, so I don't know how long it has been since I updated about life, but no worries. My life is so boring hardly anything big happens.
The only major events I can think of are...

  1. Jason Derulo / Super Mash Bros concert
  2. Declaring Majors (Double Major: Computer Information Systems and Marketing)
  3. My Friend;s Christmas Wedding
  4. NEW YEAR! 2011, survived another decade =]
  5. Becoming an international student mentor (It's a girl from China, I get to meet her starting spring semester)
  6. Getting a new laptop (It's another Toshiba Sattelite and I'm in love, don't regret not getting a  mac...glad I changed my mind)
And that's all that I can think of.

Oh, and I've become ridiculously obsessed with tumblr lately. It consumes most of my time since it is very addicting.
This is my tumblr.  I have to warn you though...I reblog 40% kpop, 10% photography, and 50% other (with 10% of that being original content).

12/14/10 01:57 pm - You have got to be kidding me

I’ve had the most ridiculous morning ever.

I was late for my Game Design final because of a Pennsylvania driver who added an extra 2 crucial minutes to my commute. When I got to campus, I couldn’t find parking in the regular commuter lot (which rarely happens to me), so I had to park in the furthest commuter lot. Because I was late for my final, I pretty much ran from the parking lot to the business building. It was freezing cold out (like worse than normal). I left my gloves in my other jacket so my hands turned bright red in a minute (and I’m brown, that’s saying something).

When I got to my classroom, the lights were dark and no one was in there. It turns out he made the last assignment/project/game he gave us our final.

Way to fucking tell me about it Prof, really.
I just came to campus and drove/ran around like a mad person for no reason.

I’m going to go eat breakfast now.

10/7/10 12:48 am - kittenz are adorbz

Today I went to my friend’s friend’s dorm, which was technically one of those suites. Anyways, they had a 9 week old adorable kitten that’s living there even though it’s totally against the rules. The kitten was so adorable, I kept petting her for like half an hour. Her name is Gee Gee (I think she was named after the dorm because the building itself is called ‘Gee’). Anyways, she was so laid back and quiet. All she did was sleep on my lap. Adorableness. I took a pic on my phone, but I’m too lazy to upload it.

9/25/10 11:12 pm - Book Signing with Tony DiTerlizzi

So, yesterday I went to Barnes and Nobles with my aunt and Omar for a book signing.  Tony DiTerlizzi, author of The Spiderwick Chronicles, was there promoting his new book The Search for Wondla.  At first when I came, I felt really out of place because I felt like I was way too old to be there.  There were only like 25 people that showed up though.  I'm actually really glad that I went. I learned that he actually started out as an illustrator and he's really in touch with his dork side. The guy is like mad cool and funny.  It was an honer to meet him.

On a side note, hanging out with Omar at Barnes and Nobles was super fun.  I was like a little kid again running up and down the aisles checking out all the games and star wars stuff they had.  I found this really cool holographic book for Star Wars and I kept messing around with it.

And Omar was a total fanboy when it came to Tony DiTerlizzi.  The author kept walking around the bookstore just to kill time before the event and we kept coming across him and every time Omar would discreetly point him out. And what was even more funny was that when we actually went upstairs for the event and sat down, Tony DiTerlizzi comes in and sits right behind us because he was trying to blend in. And Omar was like trying so hard not to fanboy because his favorite author was sitting right behind him.  His mom and I were cracking so badly.  He just felt so awkward about the whole situation.  Anyways, Omar ended up winning a signed sketch of one of his characters that the author did in front of us.  I got a signed copy of his new book. :]

9/20/10 02:31 am - Gang Signs

I just find it really amusing that my mom knows about gang signs and that she was trying to teach me about them the other day.  Apparently there was a training seminar at her work where they taught her about different types of gangs and their signs/culture.  It was just too funny how she was talking about it.

And then we were at Wal-Mart the other day and my dad had to blow his nose so he pulled out this yellow handkerchief and my mom stairs at it and she's like "Yellow handkerchief...that looks like a gang sign" (because it looked like a folded up bandanna) and then she starts laughing to herself. My dad was like o_0 'omg, she need's help' and I was like 'LOOOLLLZ.'

But yeah, just the fact that she goes around pointing out gang signs and symbols to me now is hilarious.  I mean, how many people can say their mom's (especially desi ones) know gang signs? I love my mom.

9/18/10 02:50 pm - Grawr

My dad is being annoying right now and says that I can't get the new itouch.  I mean, it's my own money anyway.  My mom says I can, so now it's like the two parents against each other.  My dad needs to learn to embrace new technology.

But he says that it will be a distraction and that I wont be able to concentrate on my studies.  I SO CAN.  In fact, the only distractions in my life are my asian drama addictions and tumblr.  None of which have anything to do with games, which my dad believes i will be spending most of the time playing if I get the itouch.

I hate my life.
